About Us
Nestled deep within the lush green rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park, overlooking the surging Alas River, Leuser-Ketambe Guesthouse, is a magic place of natural peace and tranquility.
Built in 1982, by the National Parks, Gurah Station has a range of spacious, comfortable, timber accomodations and a large open air restaurant, all looking out, through the surrounding jungle, to the beautiful river below, all accompanied by a soundtrack of clear rushing mountain water and rare tropical bird calls.
The caretakers of this forest retreat are Mus liadi, his wife Jur and their three cheerful carefree kids. The most hospitable Mus, was born
and raised in Ketambe and has worked much of his life as a guide here, as his father did before him. He takes a well deserved pride, in sharing this special place, with his guests.
